The roof is leaking. Its raining and I am not relishing the thought of removing ceramic tiles of the roof to re-cover plywood with tar paper.  For now, I have rigged up a temporary solution while the rain continues.  I found the spot where the drip enters the house from inside the attic.  I have a 20 gallon ice chest and a length of garden hose coupled the a funnel which I tacked/nailed to the plywood.. catching the drip, drip, drip.  I figure two or three gallons on a heavy rain day may collect in the ice chest then it will evaporate somewhat during the day when it is always warmer to roasting hot.  I will also apply some spray on sealer foam on the suspected area/areas...this may likely be a permanent fix.  If not then I will have some tile juggling.

I went out today with my sister Chloe to Arby's and afterwards we went to the antique store to look around for anything that might need to come home with me.  I frequent the store when I can and we have found many things for our home.  Today's surprise find was a small VW bus about 35+ years old.  I first thought it was a salt or pepper shaker, but with more fiddling around with it, I came to realize what it really was.  It was a record player.  I saw this little VW bus and the inventor of it on the "Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson when I was a kid. The bus actually had a stylus to fit in a record groove .  Just insert battery, place it on the record, turn on with the rotating antenna, then watch it in amazement as the bus would drove it's self around the record and playing music through the speaker in the roof

I paid $6.95.  On eBay one in mint shape with a box sold for $195. I figure my used VW bus might be worth $75-$100.  All in all, today was another good day...leak and all...

Till next time
